Meet Andrew Satran, MD

Dr. Satran grew up in Rockland County and graduated from Clarkstown South High School. After graduating from New York Medical College, he completed his pediatric residency at Texas Tech University. He returned to Rockland County in 2002 and has been dedicated to caring for patients in our community for the past 20 years. Dr. Satran serves as the school physician for the East Ramapo school district.

Interests

Dr. Satran enjoys playing many sports, but he especially loves skiing. He is an avid proponent of exercise and has completed three marathons and two half-ironman triathlons.  He enjoys spending time with his wife and two beautiful children.

Meet Andrew Satran, MD

A Community Physician

Dr. Satran grew up in Rockland County and graduated from Clarkstown South High School. After graduating from New York Medical College, he completed his pediatric residency at Texas Tech University. He returned to Rockland County in 2002 and has been dedicated to caring for patients in our community for the past 20 years. Dr. Satran serves as the school physician for the East Ramapo school district in order to provide service to children and adolescents in our community. He lives in Rockland with his wife and two beautiful children.

Community Service

Dr. Satran feels that a commitment to community service is an important aspect of a physician’s involvement with patients. He served as medical director for Camp Homeward Bound, a summer camp for homeless children located in Harriman, New York. In 2009 and 2010, Dr. Satran made medical mission trips to Haiti to administer pediatric care to needy children. He has served on the clinical committee for Nyack Hospital and on the admissions committee for New York Medical College.

He is also the school physician for the East Ramapo School District.

Continuing Education

Pediatrics is a changing profession, and Dr. Satran makes sure to attend medical lectures and stays current with medical journals and research. He received a Master’s degree in Public Health from New York Medical College.
